The Annual Street Count of Homeless PersonsEarly this morning a group of volunteers was out counting those who had spent the night out -- without shelter -- in Tucson. This annual count is sponsored by the Tucson Planning Council for the Homeless (TPCH) and is part of a national homeless counting event. (The volunteers who were out this morning first went through a training program to prepare for the count.)
The goal of the count is to help us better understand our homeless neighbors -- and better meet their needs.
